About Us

In 1991, a group of caring community volunteers gathered to discuss how they could help the students of South Fremont Public Schools achieve their dreams.  The South Fremont Education Foundation Inc. was soon established with the purpose to “promote, aid, and encourage educational purposes, activities and endeavors of every kind and description for the students of the South Fremont Public Schools, beyond those provided by tax dollars.” The South Fremont Education Foundation is a 501 (c) (3), tax exempt organization and as such your donations are tax deductible.  The South Fremont Education Foundation Board operates independently of the Fremont Public School District and receives no direct tax support.  We rely on the generosity of our donors to complete our mission. Our board is currently comprised of 9 at large voting members, in addition to the Secretary, Treasurer, and President who are all volunteers from the community and one non-voting member representing the School District. We also have one at large member of the Student Body of South Fremont High School that rotates from semester to semester. The South Fremont Education Foundation meets ten times a year, on the fourth Monday of each month excluding July and December.

Currently we have no paid staff members and we meet in the Board Room of the Fremont County Farm Bureau Office located at 700 North Bridge Street, St. Anthony, Idaho 83445. You can contact Board President Val Hammond at (208)716-1144 or through our email at sfeducationfoundation@gmail.com

The most important component of the South Fremont Education Foundation (SFEF) is our donors.  It is their commitment to the students attending South Fremont Public Schools that makes dreams come true.
